The 4th Annual HBCU+ Entrepreneurship Conference hosted by Bowie State University will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This year's conference is entirely virtual and is in partnership with the White House HBCU Initiative and the Tom Joyner Foundation. The theme, "Igniting Innovation, Building Legacies: Empowering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs," perfectly aligns with Bowie State's mission to inspire and equip future business leaders. A highlight of this year's virtual conference is the inaugural "Tom Joyner's – I Got an Idea: HBCU Pitch Competition." The top six student finalists from HBCUs in the Mid-Atlantic & Mid-South Region will pitch their innovative ideas to a panel of experienced judges to win up to $5,000 in cash awards and $10,000 in scholarships.
