Global Climate Association Featured in PoliTeknik for Terra Confluence 2024: A Global Collaboration for Climate Literacy and Innovation We are proud to share that PoliTeknik, a renowned German Newspaper, has published an article featuring Terra Confluence 2024, an event spearheaded by the Global Climate Association in partnership with HerWILL - Women Inspired in Life and Leadership and UMass Amherst NSDC Chapter. Terra Confluence 2024, held in April - May 2024 during Earth Week, brought together global participants to address the urgent need for climate literacy and environmental stewardship. The event united experts, educators, students, and community stakeholders from around the world in a collaborative effort to drive tangible climate action and innovation. With a diverse set of educational tracks—from the Climate Conundrum Challenge for secondary students to the Climate Data Analytics Showdown for university participants—this event successfully bridged the gap between knowledge and real-world application, fostering a new generation of climate-conscious individuals. Celebrating Collaboration and Innovation at Vigyan Chitra 2024 The Global Climate Association is proud to have co-organized the Vigyan Chitra 2024 - Telangana STEM Fair, a remarkable initiative aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and innovation among students in rural India. This event, held on August 27 at Zilla Parishad High School, Kachapur, Bhiknoor, brought together 75 young minds to explore and demonstrate natural scientific phenomena through eco-friendly projects. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our invaluable partners and event Chair Sai Gattupalli and Krishna Chaitanya Rao from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Ed+Sutra and the dedicated school administration, led by Sri Ramchander Rao, Event Coordinator and Principal of the ZPHS Bhiknoor, for their unwavering support and collaboration. Your collective efforts made this event a resounding success. Winners of Vigyan Chitra 2024: Girl Innovators in STEM Scholarships were awarded to Top 3 Girl Performers: Archana (Class 9) Sheik Tanisha (Class 7) Ramya (Class 10) Top 3 STEM Projects were awarded to: Shubojith (Class 9): Clinometer Rohit Reddy (Class 10): Water Alarm System Sheik Huzaaif (Class 6): Science-Art Fusion Project The winners were awarded cash prizes and all 75 students received certificates and Tshirts courtesy Sai Gattupalli, Krishna Chaitanya Rao, Rinchen Bodnar, Katie and the Global Climate Association. This initiative is a testament to the power of collaboration in promoting STEM education in rural areas. By empowering students in Bhiknoor and beyond, we are nurturing the next generation of scientists and innovators who will contribute to solving global challenges. Promoting STEM in rural communities is not just about education—it’s about providing opportunities for young minds to explore, innovate, and contribute to a sustainable future. We believe that initiatives like Vigyan Chitra are crucial in ensuring that all children, especially girls, have the chance to engage with science and technology, laying the groundwork for a more equitable and resilient world.
