AzDEC members are recognized trade and investment experts from across the State who contribute their time and energy to helping small and medium-sized Arizona businesses compete in global markets. Join us in welcoming. John Foerster: John specializes in all modes of import and export with 35 years of logistical experience. John, UPS's 25-year International Account Specialist, handles Arizona, New Mexico, and border operations. John's supply chain knowledge, especially in Az/Mexico, can help Arizona SMEs benefit from USMCA. Eduardo Gonzalez: Eduardo is the president of 258 Consulting LLC, which helps US-Mexico companies nearshore, produce, and develop internationally. Before launching his global consulting firm, Eduardo was ProMexico's Arizona and Nevada executive director by appointment of the Mexican Deputy Trade Commissioner. The Mexican Secretariat of Economy launched ProMexico to boost exports and FDI. Eduardo helps AzDEC negotiate exports. Ghazal Khorshidi: Thunderbird's Senior Director of Executive Operations & Community Outreach runs the Dean's Office. Thunderbird outperforms Cambridge, Harvard, and Stanford in international commerce. It shares AzDEC's goal. Ghazal promotes Thunderbird's Arizona community in many positions. Ghazal's appointment to the board could boost trade and cooperation between this prestigious educational institution and the AzDEC. Alma Peralta: Alma serves as the International Trade Specialist for the City of Tucson Before this position, Alma was the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Director of International Relations and San Antonio MBDA Export Center International Business Development Specialist. Alma has cross-border operations expertise from aiding Arizona and Texas SMEs with international trade for over a decade. Susana Trasente: Susana oversees Peoria's economic development. Before joining the City, Susana was the Maricopa Association of Governments' Regional Economic Development Specialist, educating elected officials on international policies that affect local communities, notably Arizona's trade statistics and how they affect their work/policies Susana has focused on public/private partnerships, especially FDI, in the public sector. Susana advises AzDEC on FDI and growth. Tina Waddington: Tina Waddington is the Director of Relations for Lumina Specs Group, an innovation company developing technologies that enhance safety, reliability, and scalability in AI systems. Before joining Lumina Specs, Tina made the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations (PCFR) the State's preeminent foreign policy forum as Executive Director. Tina helped Arizona companies expand worldwide after working as a political intern at the U.S. Embassy in Rome. Tina's international expertise and global diplomatic and policy connections will help AzDEC teach Arizona entrepreneurs in trade.
