Today, we celebrate an incredible career milestone as we honor Phil Vernard, Glidewell Dental’s longest-serving employee, who is retiring this week after an exceptional 46 years of service. Phil joined Glidewell on April 28, 1978, and throughout his career, he made a lasting impact.? ? Please join us in celebrating Phil’s retirement and thanking him for nearly five decades of extraordinary contributions. Congratulations, Phil—, and Glidewell will always be grateful for the legacy you leave behind!?
If you don’t know Phil Vernard, I’d like to tell you a bit about him. He started with Glidewell Dental on April 28, 1978, and stayed with us until his retirement this week — our longest standing employee! Before joining Glidewell, Phil had worked for a few other Orange County dental labs. He landed on Glidewell because of its training and growth opportunities. He must have liked it enough to stick around for the better part of 46 years! Phil worked within several lab production departments and helped develop the Combo department. His pivotal work in R&D resulted in many critical contributions to Obsidian? CAD/CAM, Obsidian? NOW, sleep appliances, cement, and countless other projects. His coworkers would say that Phil is easygoing, humble, curious, and a stickler for details. He always maintained a strong motivation to explore technology and learn new things every day, an attitude that inspired everyone around him. Outside of work, Phil is known for his beautiful choir voice, which he lends to his church group every Saturday. Today, I hope you all will join me in recognizing Phil and celebrating his retirement. Words can’t describe how well-earned this achievement is, and how much all of us at Glidewell appreciate Phil.???
