How I got into Glide & no code My co-founder Vicente and I started Merkalia 4 years ago to build a digital platform to optimize operations for companies in Mexico. Since neither of us had a tech background, we outsourced development. However, we struggled as each business we approached had unique needs. Vicente introduced me to Airtable to manage our internal operations. That’s how we entered the no code space. We saw an opportunity to develop custom solutions based on what we were learning. That’s when we discovered Glide. With their rapid growth and robust functionality, we decided to build a business almost entirely on Glide. It's been the best decision. ? Our mission To create greater well-being in Mexico by helping businesses become more efficient and professional. We believe efficient operations positively impact employee satisfaction, commitment, and motivation. Although custom software development is our primary tool, we go beyond by making our full range of strategic knowledge available to our clients, supporting them comprehensively. ? Advice to agencies To any agency not yet using Glide, you’re missing a major opportunity. Glide enables you to build projects more quickly, with more functionality, and at higher profitability than you might imagine. No code can sometimes be perceived as lacking seriousness or scalability. However, once companies see the kind of projects we’ve built—quickly, and with a small team—their perspective changes. ? What I'm excited for We’re very excited about our new partnership with a traditional tech team, allowing us to introduce Glide to larger clients with more complex processes. This collaboration opens the door to developing increasingly robust solutions and expanding our impact. ? My take on AI AI will play a transformative role in business by making predictive insights and automated decision-making accessible to companies of all sizes. Glide’s commitment to integrating AI into its platform opens new doors for innovation and efficiency that I believe will revolutionize how we build and deliver solutions. ? Growing our team We’ve formed partnerships with various universities and created an internship program where people from diverse backgrounds can apply and learn Glide development under our methodology. In addition to our internship program and selection process, we’ve implemented two internal systems—both developed in Glide. ? Something you may not know about me Since I was 9, I’ve slept with the same stuffed hedgehog named 'Gordo'. A few years ago, I accidentally left him at a hotel in Florence.
