Gleneagles Country Club

Gleneagles Gives Back is a new program for our members to volunteer as a group at a variety of nonprofits in the community. We held our first program today at CROS Ministries where our members assembled bags of groceries for the hungry in our community. We also delivered a large donation of food from our Gleneagles family! The members felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment and fulfillment in making a difference in our local community, and we are looking forward to our next event on the calendar!

Our golf members were in for lots of treats and a few tricks this morning for our Halloween Mixed Couples Golf Tournament! ???? Congrats to Joe DeMino, Luke Frazier, Certified PGA Professional, Megan Pendergraff, Brian, Jake and the rest of the golf team on a fantastic event! ??

The construction to the new Tennis and Pickleball Center is progressing at a great pace! We are counting down the days until we open this new facility in late February 2025! Gleneagles sent 5 members of our leadership team to a wonderful day of education hosted by the Florida Chapter of the Club Management Association of America at Hunters Run Country Club. Our team took away a lot of great information from the Strengths Assessments facilitated by Gina Brennan! Thank you to the team at Hunters Run Country Club for the incredible hospitality!

We are so excited to reach this milestone at the Tennis and Pickleball Center. Today, we are pouring 200+ yards of concrete! The project is proceeding right on schedule. Lobster night for Labor Day weekend! Our food and beverage team did an amazing job hosting this event for nearly 300 members and guests! ??

We are grateful to the Florida Chapter of the Club Management Association of America for all of the outstanding education hosted this summer. Our Director of Golf Course Maintenance Jason Bagwell recently participated in an engaging panel discussion moderated by Rob Oosterhuis CCM, CCE, PGA at the FLCMAA summer conference to discuss agronomy and its importance and connections to clubs.

The Tennis and Pickleball program has reached many new heights in recent years and will certainly continue to grow with the eagerly anticipated opening of the new Tennis and Pickleball Center in February 2025. We are pleased to announce two organizational changes that will ensure the continued success of our Racquets program. Congratulations to Scott Harper who has been promoted to the position of Director of Pickleball and Head Tennis Professional at Gleneagles. In his new role, Scott will manage all aspects of our Pickleball program, from instruction and program development to leagues, teams, and events, while continuing to assist in tennis operations, including lessons. Congratulations also to Mike Puc, who been named Director of Racquets. Mike joined the Gleneagles team in 1996 as Director of Tennis. Mike will continue to oversee the entire Tennis and Pickleball program.

The club hosted a special party in honor of the nearly 60% of our membership that resides at the club year-round featuring an amazing White Hot Disco theme! Our members enjoyed an awesome band, great food and drink, and of course, everyone loved the theme! Thank you as always to CAPEHART Photography for capturing our Year Rounders party!
