"Reflecting on my journey, it's amazing to see how far I've come since joining Glean over three years ago in Customer Support. Working in that team taught me so much about our users and led me to transition into UX in 2023. After a promotion from Junior UX Designer to a more experienced position at the beginning of last year, I am thrilled to continue my progression, which falls conveniently close to my 3 year anniversary at the company! ??" Last week we had the pleasure of sponsoring Leeds Computing Society hackathon, and it was brilliant! The organizers did an amazing job of keeping it running smoothly, and taking great care of competitors, and there was great turnout, with two rooms full of teams! Our sponsored competition was a short circuit task and our judging criteria were: ?? Tech for good (solve a problem, benefit mental health, inform, enrich or teach) ?? Playful (whimsy, entertaining language, imagery, interactions) We had a whopping 10 entries!! Our winners were team Flora Flow who made an app to help people quickly and easily plan a great garden and spot weeds ?? ?? A huge thank you to Evan Madurai, Paige Uppal, Eschal Najmi & Miranda Gough for such a great event! Plus our amazing engineers Mala Benn and Jonathan Mew for creating the task and doing the difficult job of judging and Anja Madhvani for helping to organize!
