    After working 11 years as a CFO, I can confidently say: Being a CFO is challenging. - The pressure is massive. - The responsibilities are vast. - Every decision carries impact. If you’re thinking about this path, know this: You’ll be the one cutting budgets. You’ll be the one saying “no” to exciting projects. But protecting the company’s financial health isn’t about being difficult. It’s about finding ways for long-term success. The expectation to “know it all” is intense - Markets - Technology - Regulations - Risk management It’s a wide range to cover. So don't try to be an expert in everything. Instead, build a strong team and get advice from trusted experts. From major decisions to routine approvals. Every choice you make will shape the company’s future. Balancing different expectations is your daily task. Investors seek returns The board wants growth Employees need resources You’ll need to align these demands with keeping finances stable.
