GLE is a manufacturer of high precision products when wear properties, gage tolerances (to .000010” [.00025mm]) and high finishes (1 micro inch [.025 micron]) are of critical importance. We serve some of the most recognizable and innovative companies in the world. Our applications solve problems in several industries including medical, fiber optic, waterjet, aerospace and chip technology. GLE is focused on precision. We offer internal and external diameters and thicknesses from .002” – 6.00” (.0508mm – 152.4mm), wall thickness to .0015” (.038mm) and roundness, concentricity and parallelism to .000010” (.00025mm). Our extremely high tolerances allow you to design more precise parts or to reengineer efficiencies and cost savings into current products. We can achieve surface finish (surface roughness) to 1 micro inch (.025 micron) on tungsten carbide, ceramic and other hard materials including exotic and custom metals. If you have a part that is experiencing premature wear, the surface finish can be altered to reduce surface friction, control wear characteristics, remove inclusions, and remove contaminants. This is our strength and how we save time and money. Our products are manufactured using carbide, ceramic, steel or any other type of hard metal that satisfies your specifications. GLE works with you to determine the best materials and manufacturing processes for your specific applications.
