Materials Matter. As 2025 quickly approaches, it's time to reflect on building material choices and what we choose in design specs. A well-designed building creates a positive impact on its community, with material selection playing a role in the building's relationship with its occupants and its surrounding environment. Let's look to the future of our built environment with an emphasis on material selection, recognizing that materials matter. Materials specified in today's projects will influence the lifespan of a building, so we might as well choose materials that contribute to a low carbon future.
