After 32 years of dedication, leadership, and service, we say a heartfelt farewell to Ed Horan as he retires from his role as Store Manager, tomorrow. Ed's incredible journey with us has spanned three decades, during which he not only led with integrity and passion but also inspired countless team members along the way. His commitment to excellence and the positive impact he's had on our stores and community will be missed. ?? Congratulations to Joe Carrubba on his promotion to Store Manager of the Paramus ShopRite! ?? Joe’s journey with ShopRite began in 1998. After a brief time away, he returned to us in 2018, joining the Wharton ShopRite team as an Assistant Store Manager. Now, we are proud to announce his promotion to Store Manager of our Paramus location. This promotion holds special significance for Joe, as he will be following in the footsteps of his late father, who managed the Paramus ShopRite over 30 years ago. ?? A Big Congratulations to Carlos on his promotion to Night Closing Manager in ShopRite of Wharton! Carlos began his career in 1999 as a Cashier in Rockaway ShopRite. By 2000 his exceptional work ethic and skills led him to become a Cashier Trainer and Assistant Front-End Manager. He soon earned the position of Front-End Manager in Rockaway, where he showcased his strong leadership abilities. In 2022, Carlos took on a new challenge, becoming the Bakery Manager in Wharton, where he continued to excel and drive success. Now, Carlos has been promoted to the role of Night Closing Manager, demonstrating his unwavering commitment and hard work. We’re excited to see him continue thriving in his new role!

We are excited to announce that Canbek has been promoted to an Assistant Store Manager in ShopRite of Wharton! Canbek joined us in July 2011 as a Cashier in Rochelle Park and has since excelled in multiple roles across various departments. From working as a Grocery Clerk to handling Overnight Grocery, Produce, Dairy, and Frozen, his dedication and work ethic quickly earned him more responsibilities. By November 2017, he became the Assistant Grocery Manager, and from August 2018 to July 2021, he led the team as Grocery Manager at our Pearl River location. Most recently, Canbek had made an impact as Operations Project Manager for the past three years. Canbek’s commitment to excellence and leadership qualities have paved the way for this exciting next step in his career. We look forward to seeing him thrive in his new role and to the continued success he will bring as an Assistant Store Manager. Let’s all congratulate Canbek Alakay on this well-deserved promotion!

We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Lou, the current Bakery Manager of our Linden ShopRite, to the position of Bakery Merchandiser for our 11 stores! Lou has been an integral part of our team since 2002, consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, and a passion for excellence in every aspect of his work. His extensive experience and commitment to quality have made him a valuable asset to our organization. In his new role, Lou will bring his expertise and innovative approach to enhance the bakery departments across our multiple locations. Ahmed began with us in 2018, and has held multiple management positions, demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication. He started his journey with us as an Assistant Store Manager, in Brooklyn, NY. His hard work and commitment quickly led to his promotion to General Store Manager. Ahmed's valuable experience and passion for the industry have been key to his success, and we are excited to see him bring this same energy and expertise to his new role as Senior Director of Perishables. We are excited to announce the promotion of Jeenesh to the position of Seafood Merchandiser at Glass Gardens! Jeenesh began his journey with Glass Gardens in 2006 as a cashier. Over the years, he has showcased remarkable dedication, versatility, and leadership skills by taking on various roles, including night crew chief and Asst Store Manager across four different stores. Bernard "Bernie" Smith PT butcher retires from ShopRite of Pearl River, NY at age 90! Bernie has been a butcher for over 70 years, starting when he was just 16 years old. Bernie worked for Glass Gardens ShopRite since 2007, and will be missed by both his peers and customers! Bernie is looking forward to spending more time with his children and 12 grandchildren.
