Building Knowledge and Connections at the GLASE Summit This month our 2024 GLASE Summit brought together Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) experts from across North America! 90 attendees built new business relationships while learning about the future of dynamic lighting in CEA. We are excited to share insights from the event with the industry so more growers can save energy and enhance profitability with greenhouse technology like dynamic lighting. Attendees had the chance to dive deep into the latest advancements in CEA, with presentations from Sollum Technologies, IUNU, Hoogendoorn Growth Management, and keynote speaker Tessa Pocock. Tessa expanded our knowledge of circadian rhythms in plants and compared pulse width modulation and frequency modulation with a call to action for more research in pulsed lighting controls at high frequencies. A central feature of the Summit was our grower panel showcasing the benefits of dynamic LED horticultural lighting with U.S. growers Bob Jones of The Chef's Garden, Inc. and Holly Counter Beaver of Finn & Roots, and Quebec grower Robert Thérien of Les Serres Point du Jour. Each operation provided perspectives spanning geography, scale, and experience with various crops, including lettuce, herbs, tomatoes, microgreens, and other vegetables. Stay tuned for additional highlights from the GLASE Summit! Subscribe to the GLASE newsletter to keep learning with GLASE and be the first to hear our plans for the 2025 Summit. https://glase.org/ #GLASE #CEA #agriculture #conference #networking #greenhouse #greenhouses
