Recently, a dear friend asked, "Am?I?a caregiver?" The question reminds us here at Gladys Love Project of the below quote by Rosalynn Carter, which speaks to the interconnectedness of us all: "There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers and those who will need caregivers." Often, our caregiving duties begin as fulfilling the simple need of a loved one, and then those needs grow over time. If you're the kind neighbor picking up groceries for your elder neighbor, or the daughter picking up medications and taking your parent(s) to the doctor,?*you*?are a caregiver. Rosalynn Carter's quote also speaks to the importance of caring for each other, for we will all walk this journey of caring for someone, or being cared for, if we haven't already done so. Laura Neff comes to Gladys Love Project with over 30 years' experience in human development and business excellence, and she's excited to bring all that and more to amplify the impact of Gladys Love Project! Currently, you can find her coaching and consulting her heart out via?New Atlas Coaching, developing business leaders and leadership teams who fundamentally understand that leadership is, at its essence, a sacred opportunity to care for and support one another and our world while doing good through business. Laura lives with her husband Robert, two dogs, two cats, and six chickens. She loves gardening, hiking, reading excellent?fiction and cooking vibrant, healthy meals. She has had the opportunity to walk with her family through caregiving for her father, mother, brother and sister-in-law before they each passed...another sacred opportunity she wouldn't have missed for anything. * * * Aura Love is a community and spiritually-based Healer. She holds titles of Rekhit (Keeper of Wisdom), the Chief Master Herbalist and Kemetic Reiki Master Teacher of the Ra Sekhi Arts Temple.
