Your GKC Advocacy Chair, Mike Johnson, along with Gateway Chapter’s Rocco Gonzalez, MPH, CPH, put together an opportunity for our boards to meet with Missouri state representatives, watch the senate pass a Telehealth bill, and sit down with Dr Josh Wymer, DNP, MS, MA, RN, FHIMSS, FACHE, FAAN, Michael Seda, MBA, MHA, FACHE, CHCIO, CDH-E , and Dan Hlavac, ChFC?. We discussed healthcare initiatives in the works, ways the state is using AI, data protection priorities, and ways HIMSS can help advocate for change in each of those areas. It was a great day trip!
