I'm humbled to share that I have accepted a role as Advisory Board Member at Daylight. Aside from being two of the best speakers on the conference circuit, Dien Yuen JD/LLM,CAP?, AEP? and Crystal Thompkins,CAP?,CSPG (she/her) bring an energy to their work every day that is undeniably contagious. They have brought their vast industry experience together to be deployed as Daylight, a global home for learning, practice and research. As an advisory board member, I will be joining Faye Ong, Alisia Robin, CAP?, Edward Wang, Dianne Chipps Bailey, Nina Cohen, CAP?, Padric Scott, Avery Fontaine and others as we collaborate together to advance the mission of Daylight.
The heart of the work at Daylight is their groundbreaking Impact Philanthropy Advisor program, a mix of expert facilitation and on demand instruction over 20 weeks.
"Designed by industry leaders for industry practitioners, IPA is a state-of-the-art program for all types of wealth and philanthropic advisors. It equips you with the technical and practical skills to support and attract clients today. You'll leave with updated knowledge of social impact vehicles and strategies,?financial and estate planning synergies, successful philanthropic conversations with clients and other advisors, and more! You'll also make new connections, receive CE credits, and get first access to our Advisor Hub and Learning Labs."
They've also recently launched Certificates (see image below) including a Behavioral Philanthropy Certificate created in partnership with ideas42 which I can't wait to join myself.
I encourage all of the advisors, executives, and gift officers in my network to sign up for the IPA program through Daylight. Reach out to Director of Engagement extraordinaire Megan Lemieux Bell to learn more and sign up. Several members of the Giving Docs team will be joining the various cohorts in 2025--and we hope to see you there! (The next one starts in January and there are still a few spots available!!)
