关于我们

Welcome to Giving Multiplier! We match donations to any charity and introduce you to the world's most effective charities. Created by researchers at Harvard University, our goal is to make charitable giving as effective as possible. Some charities can be hundreds of times more effective than others. Giving Multiplier uses expert recommendations to suggest a set of these standout charities. But, you shouldn't have to choose between focusing only on effectiveness and supporting the causes which mean the most to you. That's why Giving Multiplier uses a bundling system to split your donation between your favorite charity and a highly effective one. And, to make your donation go even further, we provide free matching funds on top of what you give, adding up to 90% to both charities you selected. You can try it for yourself and multiply the impact of your donations at givingmultiplier.org.

??????????’?? ?? ???????????????????? ???????????????????? ?????????????????????????? ???? ????????????????????????: the belief that impactful charities should spend as little as possible on overhead (administrative and fundraising costs). It's certainly important for charities to strive toward efficiency. But spending less on overhead doesn’t necessarily mean more people are helped. In fact, research shows the opposite is often true. Would Microsoft or other businesses have been as successful without spending on high-quality staff and infrastructure? I doubt it. Similarly, charities need overhead spending to achieve their goals. If overhead costs turn donors away, it creates pressure for charities to minimize their spending. This “race to the bottom” ultimately undermines charities’ impact by impeding their long-term stability. An influential behavioral science research paper by Uri Gneezy and colleagues experimentally identified this “???????????????? ????????????????”, such that donors were less willing to give to charity when overhead costs were higher. Why? Overhead aversion disappeared when overhead costs were covered by another donor, suggesting this tendency is driven by people's desire for their own donation to directly help recipients. Fortunately, separate research led by Lucius Caviola found that many people are willing to support more cost-effective charities (even if overhead is higher) when informed about the difference between overhead ratios and cost-effectiveness. ????????????????: We give because we want to improve the world. By focusing on charity’s achievements instead of their overhead, we can accomplish much more for those in need.

GiveDirectly.org/fires Cash aid allows fire survivors to meet their own needs rather than having others guess for them — which is why people impacted by a crisis say they prefer cash relief over donated goods. Your donations will help families impacted by the L.A. fires meet their own urgent needs and rebuild their lives. GiveDirectly is delivering emergency cash to low-income wildfire survivors in impacted areas in and around Los Angeles, helping them cover immediate needs: ??Food, medicine, and diapers ??Shelter while evacuated ??Phone bill, healthcare, and car payments Here’s your cash will reach them: ???We’re identifying the highest-need communities using fire damage and poverty data. ??We’ll then enroll and pay low-income survivors in those areas fully remotely through Propel, Inc, an app used to manage food stamp benefits ??Families will receive your donations in their bank accounts 2-3 days after enrolling, much faster than conventional aid.
