Today, the New York Giants ownership decided to keep their GM and head coach after a challenging season. The departure of Saquon Barkley in the offseason was a major loss for the team and a sore point all season; however, ownership chose to retain the decision-makers. In any successful organization, consistency, trust, and long-term vision are essential. This is a reminder that the best organizations recognize the value of their personnel, even when faced with setbacks. They understand that growth comes from a culture of trust, accountability, and resilience across all levels. When an organization invests in its people—whether they’re on the front lines or in the executive offices—it sets itself up for long-term success, even through tough times.
It’s important to clarify, however, that I’m not advocating for a top-down, authoritarian approach. Healthy organizations are built on collaboration, respect, and the understanding that everyone—regardless of title—plays a crucial role in overall success. Empowered teams, with strong communication and shared goals, are the real drivers of growth. #GivinGame #SportsBiz
