Give Back New York had the opportunity to connect with over 400 junior and senior students at Frank Sinatra High School in Astoria, NY, providing them with valuable insights and tips into their career pathways and opportunities. This event featured a distinguished panel of industry experts from top organizations including the New York Police Department, Macy's ,Walgreens and Black Entertainment Television, sharing their experiences and advice as the students prepare for a successful future. The event, led by Shameco Lattia Moore , Community & Student Engagement Coordinator, and her team, was made possible thanks to the support of key investors and sponsors. A special thank you to State Farm, whose generous contributions enabled Give Back to provide $250 Macy's gift cards to students who completed their requested essays. These students were honored at the event, celebrating their achievements and hard work. We are proud of the students' enthusiasm and drive, and grateful to the speakers and investors who helped make this night a memorable experience. This event marks just the beginning of our ongoing efforts to support and guide the youth leaders and students of New York & Illinois.

Good work is happening in Kansas! Our Pittsburg State University Give Back Peer Mentors organized a meal service event for fellow scholars to volunteer. Collaborating with "The Lord's Diner" project, the Kansas scholars & mentors packed meals and snacks for those in need. Filling lunch sacks, packaging cereal, and stocking up the food packaging line, the scholars organized an efficient and meaningful service project and are looking forward to more volunteering opportunities in the future.
