GivenGain is a non-profit foundation founded on one simple idea: to enable global philanthropy by providing a platform that makes global giving and fundraising simple. Since 2001, we have helped donors and fundraisers in 193 countries to support thousands of charities in more than 100 countries. We also work with mass participation events and their charity partners to enable participant fundraising, including the Boston Marathon. At GivenGain we follow a distributed work policy, which means that you can work from wherever you feel comfortable: home, office, co-working space, it’s your choice. Although the GivenGain Foundation is registered in Switzerland, we have a global team working from the USA, UK, Switzerland and South Africa – or wherever their work with charities takes them. We also believe in giving back ourselves. GivenGain provides all employees with an additional 12 days of paid leave each year to volunteer with a charity or cause of their choice, anywhere in the world."

Our story of the week features four courageous women striving to set a new world record in the Race Across America (RAAM) to support Inspiring Girls International. RAAM is one of the longest annual endurance events in the world, currently 30% longer than the Tour de France but with less than half the time to complete! Additionally, it is a non-stop race, which means fast switch-overs, with few rest breaks and very little sleep. “It’s not just about our quest for speed; we also hope to inspire wider participation of women and young girls in under-represented sporting endeavours.” Meet the team: Caroline Buckland, Vicki Anstey, Katie Aguilar and Danielle Grabol Overbaugh. They have set a fundraising target of ￡20,000 for Inspiring Girls International - an organisation dedicated to raising the aspirations of girls around the world by connecting them with female role models.
