We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experienced-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run of Greater Kansas City serves more than 4,200 girls ages 8-13 years old each year. Our program sites are located at more than 170 different schools and community centers in 18 counties throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.

When I joined Forvis Mazars US years ago, I was encouraged to get involved in my local community and find a cause that I was passionate about to support. I quickly found Girls on the Run Serving Greater Kansas City (GOTRKC) and I am proud to be entering my 4th year serving on the Board of Directors. Their program teaches 3rd-5th grade girls life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and joyful movement. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K race. Each fall, I run a race as a SoleMate and fundraise in support of GOTRKC.
