On Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, we’re celebrating trailblazers like Girl Scout Sofia—congratulations on earning your #GSGoldAward! Inspired by the unique challenges female entrepreneurs face, Sofia took action by creating a toolkit to teach networking skills, launching an Instagram page to connect women in business, and hosting virtual calls to foster collaboration. “I really believe female entrepreneurs are important for our economy,” she shared. Meet volunteer Shamika, a co-leader of a 25-member Girl Scout troop who embodies "being a sister to every Girl Scout" with her whole heart. ?? "We are deliberate about creating safe spaces where differences are honored and everyone can learn from each other without fear of judgment," she shares, as she leads several Girl Scouts who are neurodivergent. "Through this approach to the Girl Scouting model, they are making lasting friendships, discovering their interests, and learning how to build and be in community with others. They’re getting outside, they’re learning about each other and the world around them, and they’re making the world a better place by leading with inclusion." ??
