? Happy Team Member Tuesday ? Today we are featuring our spring Programming Intern, Sophie. She comes to us this spring as part of the GWS internship course at UW, investigating feminist issues in community settings. Sophie is a senior at UW-Madison studying Biology and Global Health with a certificate in Gender and Women's studies. Sophie says, "I chose GOTR because I was really drawn to the mission! I am incredibly passionate about inspiring and helping young girls unleash their confidence and achieve their full potential. I believe this program is a wonderful way for girls to build lasting confidence and emotional resilience while having so much fun and making new friends!" ? Happy Team Member Tuesday ? Today we are featuring our board member, Tracy Anderson. Tracy says: "I’m currently the Community Partnerships Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County, where my role revolves around solidifying partnerships for our sponsorships—key to keeping our programs free for our Matches, Littles, and Parents. I absolutely love being in an outreach community leadership role. It’s incredibly fulfilling to share our mission with the community and to witness the incredible growth of our Matches in the program. I also share my STAR power with Girls on the Run (GOTR) because I fell in love with the organization during my first run with them. It was truly magical. The energy of thousands of people coming together to empower young girls, reminding them how special, beautiful, and strong they are, was an experience I’ll never forget. The positive music blasting through the crowd was nothing short of electric! I knew right then that I had to be a part of this movement. We need to start telling our girls how amazing they are from a young age, so they carry that confidence and belief in themselves for the rest of their lives."
