In celebration of National Mentorship Month (January), The Golden State Valkyries in partnership with MENTOR California invited us to their "Mentors Need Love Too" event, in celebration of the importance of mentorship on the next generation. As a team, they want to ensure they are "connecting, inspiring, and sustaining communities when it comes to mentorship." - Veronne J. Clark, MPS, Golden State Valkyries, Director of Community The event also featured a Girls Mentorship Retreat, where our girls and other youth from the community heard inspiring stories and had the opportunity to share their own. "It was one of those moments for us to bring young people in a space that allows for them to really just heal . To really just spend time and be loved on and really think about how we work together in this union we call a community." - Marcus Strother, Mentor California Executive Director #mentorship #NationalMentorshipMonth #mentor #mentee #StrongSmartBold
