Girls Dream Code had an amazing time at Family Engineering Day hosted by The Works Museum and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. We had fun activities that covered these topics: circuit boards & LED strips, VR headset, Robotics and Cybersecurity! We loved seeing the kids get excited about technology!

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to meet some great women in the computer science field at the Girls Dream Code program graduation! Over the past year, I have been interning at Girls Dream Code under the mentorship of Victoria Kyereme (a very talented and motivating Sr. software engineer!) and we have been working on a mobile app built for the girls in the Girls Dream Code organization. A little about GDC: it’s an amazing non-profit that focuses on women of color being in tech. It is an incredible environment because of the great people who are involved in it. We are launching the app VERY SOON and it has been a lot of fun working on it with a great group of females of various backgrounds! Thanks again Girls Dream Code for an awesome opportunity and giving me the chance to meet some great individuals. ????
