Leadership has no age minimum! As the youngest Girl Scouts, Daisies have endless possibilities ahead of them as they begin the journey to courage, confidence, and character, which is the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Did you know? Daisies earn petals for the colorful flowers on the front of their uniforms by learning each part of the Girl Scout Law and applying it to their world. Each petal represents a new skill or adventure for Girl Scout Daisies to explore together. While earning their “Considerate and Caring” petals, the Daisies of Troop 26315 donated over 105 pounds of food to Grace Klein Community (FeedBHM). They also volunteered at the Morgan UMC location making welcome bags and floral arrangements. #feedbhm #gsnca #girlscouts #futureleaders #givingback #communityservice

Giving back is always in season at Girl Scouts. The Girl Scouts of Troop 26329 gave back in a big way by helping to pack 20,000 meals for the international hunger relief organization, Rise Against Hunger. Community service projects are a great way make the world a better place right now and every act of service fills a need in the community ?? What a great example of demonstrating the Girl Scout mission- building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. #girlscouts #gsnca #community #givingback #riseagainsthunger

Twenty-two of our girl scouts recently spent a weekend at Dauphin Island Sea Lab exploring the coastal habitats and biodiversity of Mobile Bay. Local activities included seine fishing in the salt marshes, kayaking, an excursion on the R/V Alabama Discovery, and an engineering challenge. Girls demonstrated excellent teamwork while enjoying a fantastic opportunity to design, build, and fly their own unique remotely operated vehicle (ROV) while learning about buoyancy and hydrodynamics. #futureleaders #gsnca #girlscouts #biodiversity #teamwork #leadership

Camp Coleman has a new gaga pit thanks to a Silver Award project by Troop 30148 members Rachel Spence, Rebekah Spence, and Carolynn Emmerich! Gaga is a variant of dodgeball that is played in a large, fenced-in “pit” often shaped like an octagon. Did you know? The?Silver Award?is the second highest award of the?Girl Scouts of the USA, and one of the highest awards that a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. Girl Scouts earning the Silver Award work in small teams and spend approximately 50 hours each contributing to their community and making a difference. #girlscouts #gsnca #teamwork #communityservice #makeadifference

We are excited to partner with Vulcan Park and Museum this Saturday for the Iron Kids Patch Program. Girl Scouts will learn the story of health and fitness in Birmingham, looking at how people left farms to work in factories and the impact it had on their lives. Combining history with lots of physical activity, this program will help each Girl Scout develop physical skills and historical awareness. We are so thankful for our wonderful network of community partners and for the opportunities these partnerships provide. #girlscouts #birmingham #labor #history #community #partner
