Last week, some members of the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council Board came together for an inspiring retreat at Camp Kateri! Surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors, they collaborated, strategized, and envisioned the future of Girl Scouts in our council. From aligning our goals to fostering leadership and innovation, this retreat reminded us of the powerful impact Girl Scouts has on shaping girls into future leaders. A huge thank you to our dedicated board members for their passion and commitment to empowering the next generation. Together, we’re building a brighter future! ?? Exciting News! ??Girl Scouts of Gateway Council is proud to be selected as one of fifteen finalists for the 2024 Impact 100 Pensacola grant! Our proposal aims to bring Girl Scout Troops to 11 new after-school sites in partnership with Escambia County School District and Creative School Age Childcare, providing opportunities for more than 250 girls. By removing barriers to participation, we are making sure every girl has the chance to experience the power of Girl Scouts! On October 13, 2024, twelve of the fifteen nonprofit finalists will each receive a grant of $100,670 at the IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area Annual Meeting. Since its inception, IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area has awarded 153 grants, totaling over $16 million, to nonprofit organizations serving Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. IMPACT 100 is driven by philanthropic women committed to transforming their communities by providing significant financial support to local nonprofits across five focus areas: Arts, Culture & History; Education; Environment & Recreation; Family; Health & Wellness. We extend a special thanks to our Girl Experience Team Jessica Osiadacz, LCSW Arin Johnston for their dedication and hard work in making this possible. Stay tuned for updates as we move forward!! #IMPACT100Pensacola #GirlScouts #gsgc
