Thank you Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce for an inspiring morning featuring incredible women leaders. We met Middlesex Savings Bank CEO Dana Nashe, GM Worcester Red Sox Brooke Cooper, Sec of Economic Development Yvonne Hao and leaders of LEI at Worcester State University. Girls need to see it to be it and this event provided that. We will share with Girl Scouts across Central and Western MA.

Look who is a Girl Scout? Bestselling author and investigative reporter Hank Phillippi Ryan! She told our CEO that her Girl Scouting experience was formative, she had an interesting cookie strategy and still regrets the badge she just couldn't get. We will keep these as a surprise, maybe she will tell you herself at a GSCWM event. Hank won 5 Agathas and is the author of 15 psychological thrillers. And she doesn't know the ending when she begins writing her books. ??

On Tuesday evening we joined United Way of Central Massachusetts for the Stepping Up for Girls event to raise funds for girl-focused programs and then celebrated with Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce on the first birthday of the nonprofit news The Worcester Guardian. Thank you The Hanover Insurance Group and this amazing crew of summer interns! The Hanover ran a large summer Intern Community Challenge?and this team chose Girl Scouts and worked with us to learn more about our work and the possibilities for serving girls who don't have access to Girl Scouting. They presented to a group of Hanover leaders and did a wonderful job -- Girl Scouts was a winner and will receive funding to support our work in Worcester. Thank you for this opportunity to engage interns in Girl Scouts and community-based work. Future volunteers and board members? ??
