Civic engagement and making one's voice heard is an important priority for Girl Scouts. We emphasize this with our girl membership through civic badges, democracy patches and governance opportunities as a council or National Delegate. A Girl Scout discovering her voice leads to increased confidence as she makes the world a better place. In fact, many women in elected positions were once Girl Scouts (nearly half of the women in congress)! Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is proud to be a part of the "Nonprofit Staff?Vote" campaign and encourages our staff to use their voice this election by offering paid?time?off?to?vote.?

The Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont's 2024 Annual Meeting, themed “Her STEMtastic Future,” was a tremendous success. The meeting highlighted the importance of girls in STEM, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and celebrated the crucial contributions of our volunteers to our council's success!
