Simply stated, I fell in love with the hearing healthcare industry. During my time in the industry, I learned about the profound?impact #hearingloss has on millions of people, how babies only a few?months?old can wear #hearingaids, how #cochlearimplants help people with profound hearing losses, and so much more. I met the most talented and passionate audiologists and hearing instrument dispensers; people dedicated to giving others back the gift of hearing. I watched the industry evolve as hearing aid legislation changed and as technological advancements enabled products to perform better than ever.? I am very appreciative of the time I spent at Sonova Group. I am proud to still be affiliated with this special industry by the consulting I continue to do with hearing aid manufacturers like Eargo and hearing healthcare clinics like Timeless Hearing , TriHealth, Ear, Nose & Throat Institute, and others. And I am immensely grateful for the gift of my own hearing. ??If you haven't had a hearing test in awhile, consider scheduling?one! And remember to wear noise protection in extra loud environments and to maybe turn down the volume on those earbuds. Your ears will thank you!

This year, I have been honored to serve as a volunteer chef for Lasagna Love, an organization that provides homemade lasagnas to families in need. I learned about this great initiative through one of my clients! I recently learned that I am a descendant of a falsely accused witch in the Salem witch trials. My 9x great grandmother was Ann Pudeator. *** Ann was vulnerable to persecution?because she didn't fit the gender norms at the time of being a mother, caretaker and homemaker. Instead, she was widowed?(twice), owned property, and worked as a nurse. *** The history of witchcraft tells us less about the supernatural than it does about how ordinary people at that time dealt with their fears, anxieties, and hardships. *** While we don't hang accused witches anymore, women still struggle today to hold power, step outside of established norms, and create names for themselves.? *** There is something weirdly poetic to me about the work that I do now, over 300 years after Ann's hanging. Coaching women to grow in their assertiveness and amplify their impact has long been a passion of mine - and now I can say that there is a piece of me that does it in memory of my grandmother, Ann Pudeator. #womenleaders #womenleadership #womenempoweringwomen #womeninpower #empoweringwomen
