Heads up! The Corporate Transparency Act ("CTA"), effective beginning 2024, imposes a new federal filing requirement for corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), and other business entities. All non-exempt business entities must file a beneficial owner information (BOI) report with the U.S. Department of Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) for each beneficial owner.
