We love receiving Gilda-grams in the mail! A heartfelt thank-you to the sweet third-grade class who sent us such thoughtful letters after Paige delivered a GCC@School presentation. ?? This school reached out to our team after two of their classmates had been personally impacted by cancer and were seeking support for their students. Gilda's Club Chicago provides free educational and support services for students from preschool through high school? These programs are designed to help students transition back to school after a cancer diagnosis or treatment. By fostering understanding and compassion, we aim to promote peer support and create a more inclusive and supportive classroom environment. It was a Grand Night for Singing and included the beautiful voices of the Lyric Opera Stage Artists (Pam, Dan, Diana, and Ken) as well as incredible performances by Governing Board member, Jim; staff members, Ali and Bradford; and GCC Red Door Society member, Anne. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Maggie Winters is no longer able to join us for Gilda's Night Out, BUT we are so excited to introduce our new featured comedian for the evening: Rogue Schmidt! Their debut solo show, “The Locker Room” ran at The Annoyance Theatre for 6 sold-out weeks and went on to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Rogue contributes frequently to The Paper Machete at The Green Mill, and was cast in the Annoyance’s Just For Laughs Showcase, The Event, an LGBTQ+ showcase at The Second City, and The Future of Comedy Festival at The Lincoln Lodge. Rogue also co produces/cohosts Brutal Sketch Comedy, a monthly variety show at The Lincoln Lodge.

The team from Vizient put in some serious elbow grease to make our Downtown Clubhouse ?sparkle? today! They scrubbed, vacuumed , carpet cleaned, painted, changed lightbulbs, and decorated for Noogiefest all in a matter of a few hours, and we couldn't be more thankful for their time.
