- Field Project Spotlight - We’re excited to showcase one of our recent field projects: a towering 385,000-gallon 304L stainless steel storage tank that plays a key role in the wastewater treatment system for a large-scale capital project. The tank is nearing completion, ready for the fall restraint system and installation of anchor chairs. This is just one of 18 tanks we are fabricating on-site, each ranging from 200,000 to 2.6 million gallons, with most being constructed with 316L stainless steel. Each tank we produce is critical to ensuring the project's success, and we take immense pride in knowing that our work contributes to a significant, long-term impact. We’re more than just tank fabricators. At Gilbert Industries, precision and attention to detail are key in every project. These first groups of custom tanks feature mill finish inside and outside. We used a different handrail design. These awesome tanks will be on their way to a chemical facility shortly. On this next tank, horizontal seams are welded with the help of a manipulator, ensuring a high-quality, seamless finish. As we prepare the tank for transport, our crew carefully orients it to ensure compliance with height restrictions. Finally, you’ll see our craftsman welding the outer seam while purging the inside with argon for maximum penetration.
