From organ donors and recipients to staff and donor families, we see people’s everyday compassion brighten lives in ways big and small. Kindness is always life-changing. And today, even the smallest gestures can spark a positive ripple. Imagine the smile from a friend you check in on, the warmth of a stranger you treat to coffee, or the joy of a senior receiving a surprise visit. Here are a few easy ways to share kindness: ? Call someone you’ve been thinking about ? Leave a kind sticky note for a colleague at work ? Donate a book to a little library ? Write a letter of appreciation ? Volunteers are love in motion. We recently gathered with a wonderful group of familiar, loved faces to celebrate our incredible volunteers. Together, they contribute over 2,000 hours annually. The time is split equally between our board members supporting essential strategic, legal, and financial work; time spent connecting and speaking in our programs - Transplant Mentors & Life Savers; and the remainder to orchestrate our key events - Trivia Night, Go See Do, and Golf Fore Life. Their incredible commitment keeps our costs low, allowing us to raise even more for these life-changing programs. The night was filled with good food at our walking taco bar, visiting, and awards. Thank you to each and every one of our volunteers for all you do!

Shout out to our rockin' Life Savers Program Manager, Megan Euler, for her dedication and influence at Gift of Life for the past two years. Megan's steady and organized approach has brought a needed balance to our team, she makes every project she touches run smoother and every goal feel achievable. Known for her dependability, fairness, and warm professionalism, Megan is an exceptional ambassador for Gift of Life. She works closely with 75% of high schools in the KC Metro area, managing schedules and coordinating presentations that empower students to understand the impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation. Thanks to her thoughtful leadership, our program's outreach and efficiency have flourished, bringing ease and confidence to everyone involved. Thank you Megan for being our steady rock and inspiring us every day in your serene manner! Here's to many more years together.

Congratulations to our Board Member, Dr. Matthew Wilkinson, on his well-deserved promotion to Associate Professor of Surgery at the UMKC School of Medicine. This prestigious promotion highlights the excellence and dedication Dr. Wilkinson brings to his work, and we are incredibly proud of his achievements. As a specialist in abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, Dr. Wilkinson offers invaluable expertise and care, not only to his patients but also to our mission. This advancement is the result of him being an excellent educator to resident physicians and his passion and talent for teaching. As our Board of Directors Secretary and an active member of both the Executive and Program Committees, his leadership and insights play a vital role in helping us make a difference. Thank you, Dr. Wilkinson, for all you do, and congrats again!

Today’s Golf Fore Life event is nothing short of remarkable. The warm spirit of everyone present truly reflects our shared mission to raise awareness for organ donation. As we honor those we’ve lost and celebrate the lives saved, we are incredibly grateful for the players and supporters who joined us on this picture-perfect day.
