We provide life-saving heart surgeries to children 14 and under, born with CHD, and train local medical professionals in these areas so they can continue the care long after we leave. The visiting team from Egypt helped to train and inform the local Zimbabwean medical team on the critical aftercare of heart surgery patients in the ICU. Recently here are Gift of Life International we have made visits to Honduras and Zimbabwe! In Honduras we performed eleven surgeries. One surgery specifically was performed on a little girl named Lucy. This surgery was in honor of Horacio Poveda, the man who introduced CEO Rob Raylman to the needs of children with congenital heart disease in San Pedro Sula in 2019. Lucy had a successful surgery and has had her little heart healed this year. Thanks for Horacio, GOLI has started a program in Honduras that will continue to provide care to little hearts for year to come. ????

The Amherst Rotary Program in southern Ontario and western New York raised $3,700 in just two hours recently! All of the money was donated directly to the Gift of Life program in Rotary District 7090. This money will be used to help obtain necessary supplies and support programs in several different countries acround the world! ?? You can read more about this event here: https://lnkd.in/gswRSiGj.
