The Giant G1X packer is our version of one of the most ubiquitous tools in the oil and gas industry. With its original concept and patent with Arrow Oil Tools Inc. in 1985, and the revolutionary releasing slip patented in 1987, the 1X style packer has evolved over many generations, to become the most versatile packer in the industry. Giants G1X comes in two versions with differential ratings of 7,500 psi and 10,000 psi. and in either case be trimmed with different elastomers and coatings to meet and perform in hostile downhole conditions, for all kinds of jobs. Versatility: - The G1X Packer can be run and set via: - Tubing Set w/ Left or Right hand set and Left or Right Hand Release - Wireline Setting Tool and Wireline Adapter Kit - On Tubing w/ Hydraulic Setting Tool and Wireline Adapter Kit - Can be set in tension, neutral, or compression - With proper GT2 Accessories can stay in the well disconnected from tubing and provide a safety barrier - Releasing Slip reduces the required force to release the packer - By-pass valve is below the upper slip to allow debris to wash free - Large by-pass for faster equalization and retrieving - With proper accessories can be utilized as retrievable bridge plug Applications that G1X packers can be ran: - Simple Production - Pumping - Injection / Disposal - Fiberglass Tubing - Zonal Isolation - Completions Requiring periodic casing integrity test Available Elastomer Trim - Standard Nitrile Elastomers (NBR / Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) - HNBR or (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) - Viton (FKM / Fluorine Kautschuk Material) - Aflas? Giant Coatings offers Nickel Coating and Polymer coatings for wells that have corrosive elements to contend with.
