? The shipping industry is at a turning point—and renewable energy is ready to deliver This week, GRA member the Green Hydrogen Organisation - GH2 hosted a maritime decarbonisation roundtable and a visit to Fortescue’s Green Pioneer—the world’s first dual-ammonia-powered vessel. ?? With the International Maritime Organization's MEPC 83 meeting approaching in April, discussions made one thing clear: the future of shipping lies in fully renewable e-fuels. A new report launched alongside the event highlights a bold reality—green fuel producers are ready to supply 10% of marine fuels by 2030. LNG and biofuels are not the solution; scaling up renewables is. As Eddie Rich, Vice-Chair of GRA and CEO of the International Hydropower Association (IHA), emphasised at the roundtable, making this transition happen requires ambitious action today. ??
