Yesterday, our founding partner, Laura Love had the privilege of attending Youth Mental Health Action Day at the Colorado State Capitol—flawlessly organized by the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Children's Hospital Colorado and the Colorado Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Society. Novice and experienced advocates alike gathered to speak up for proposed policies that would ensure 1) Colorado’s school districts establish clear guidelines for student cell phone use during the school day and 2) Kid’s mental health benefits are treated the same as their physical health benefits (because, honestly, shouldn’t that already be the standard?). One of the biggest highlights: Hearing remarks from Lindsay Gilchrist, a relentless champion for kids, and Christopher Kolker, who doubled down on the importance of these issues. Advocacy like this is what drives real change. We’re proud to stand alongside those fighting for a future where youth mental health isn’t an afterthought—it’s a priority. #YouthMentalHealth #AdvocacyMatters
