Great start of our 2025 event calendar! ???? Last weekend we kicked off our beach volleyball season with the Crown Series stop of Queen & King of the Court at the Beachboard Haci?nda in Tenerife, Spain! It’s each year special to have one of the first official beach volleyball events of the year and thanks to the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball - FIVB for our collaboration! The teams didn’t disappoint at all, in this preparation phase of the season, because we had amazing rallies and both finals, especially the men’s final, was one of the top 3 exciting finals EVER! We recognized this directly when we checked out our viewing data. Great that so many people watched online and via TV because this event was meant as a TV/streaming event. We were live in over 85 countries and very well present in the USA with our partnerships with FanDuel Sports Network and All Women's Sports Network part of Jungo TV Thanks to our partners and everyone who made this event possible. Sportworx team, well done. It was so good! Special last words are for my friend and Dutch living legend, Alexander Brouwer. You win some, you lose some and at the end you will always be a winner! The recent wildfires have profoundly impacted our Los Angeles community, causing widespread devastation and hardship. In these challenging times, collective action is essential. To support relief efforts, we are introducing the limited-edition ‘LA Strong’ Shorts for presale. Every purchase directly aids those affected, as 100% of the proceeds will be donated to fire relief efforts. One of the original and current partners of Slunks is a full time fire fighter and spent nearly 2 weeks on the ground at both the Eaton and Palisades fires as part of the emergency response and effort. These shorts are a symbol of unity. Purchasing and wearing these shorts signifies solidarity and resilience within our community.?Together, we can make a meaningful impact. This is my “why” ??! Helping athletes! So happy our #volleyball community could come together to help so many families impacted by the fires #moretocome #volleyislife For my entire life, #sports - beach volleyball in particular - have been my zen, my moving meditation, my way to decompress and refuel and re-energize me for everything else. It warms my heart that these boys and girls will still have volleyball despite all the other “new normals” they are dealing with. Thank you to everyone who contributed to my fundraising efforts! We raised $3,125 and purchased 40 pairs of kneepads and 95 pairs of fuzzy slippers! (Fuzzy slippers were a hot item and highly requested so we got them what they wanted!! Perfect for between games!) Christmas came early for our retreat attendees! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our suppliers, the gift bags this year for the Beautifully Flawed and Forge attendees were beyond phenomenal!
