    Serval Team Spotlight: Sebastien Lajeunesse-deGroot Sebastien joined the Serval team as a Founding Engineer in October of last year. Sebastien is another Verkada alum and worked with Jake and Alex on the Verkada Alarms product line. Sebastien is the powerhouse behind some of Serval’s most beloved AI features: - Serval Copilot - Serval AI Insights - Automated knowledge base updates - Image/screenshot understanding (released yesterday) Fun fact about Sebastien - when he’s not automating help desk requests he’s an avid RC plane pilot.     At Serval we believe in getting unreasonably close to customers. For example, we onboarded as contractors at one of our early design partners. There’s no better way to dogfood your product than to use it from inside a customer’s org! And there’s no substitute for living in the help desk of a large organization fielding thousands of requests. While unfortunately we can’t literally go work for all of our customers, we’re so grateful for this experience. Our product wouldn’t be the same without it.

    Really cool Serval update: scheduled workflows. Now any workflow you build in Serval can run automatically on a schedule - every day, every week, or every minute! Some awesome use cases we're seeing: - Weekly Slack reminders for open tickets - Auto-closing stale tickets - Regularly clearing out privileged access groups in Okta - Checking for MDM devices that haven't checked in for a while More to come here!

    Welcome to Serval Derby: Serval Copilot vs. Google Workspace In today's race, our very own Kaz Hishida and Sebastien Lajeunesse-deGroot will race to resolve the same IT help desk request. One will use Serval Copilot to resolve the request, and the other will use the Google Workspace admin console. The request: “create a new Google group and add me to it.” Let’s go!

Fun fact about Kaz - he picked up Jiu Jitsu while living in Costa Rica last year. When he's not grappling with IT tickets you can find him on the mat at the local gym.     The secret to building a great product? Make it better every week. Here are just a few new features we shipped to customers since Monday: - Approvals with natural language: now you can approve any workflow or access request simply by responding in the Slack thread. - Serval AI updates your knowledge base: When a request is escalated to a human, Serval will automatically suggest updates to your knowledge base so similar requests are automated going forward. - Version control: Restore a previous version of your automation workflows or knowledge base docs.
