I felt compelled to shout out Dena Lewis and her company running mate this month after a woman was killed on the greenway in Nashville while on a run, the same greenway I frequent on my daily walks. Dena, too, was a victim of assault while out for a run. Her experience led her to start Running Mate, the first ever runshare app. Running Mate provides real-time, on-demand, and verified safe running "mates" whenever you need them. Both runners and mates undergo thorough background checks to ensure safety, and mates are compensated for their services. I am incredibly grateful for the chance to support such a great mission and work with a founder like Dena Lewis!
