Diverting thousands of tons of electronics from landfills annually through responsible recycling and refurbishing, contributing to a circular economy ?? Offering work readiness training and employment opportunities to individuals facing barriers to work—over 97% of their participants have experience with the justice system Repowered's Development Manager, Signe Steiner, shares: "We chose to structure ourselves as a social enterprise because we are deeply committed to both environmental sustainability and social justice. The e-waste crisis is growing rapidly, and we believe businesses can and should play a key role in solving societal problems. By operating as a social enterprise, we can tackle two issues at once: we reduce e-waste and provide meaningful employment and job training opportunities for people who face barriers to work."   • This past Sunday, our very own Chris Olson, Test & Repair Manager at Repowered, represented us at the Sustainability and Climate Action Resource Fair at Temple Israel Minneapolis. It was a great event, well-attended by community members and climate-focused organizations. Chris enjoyed connecting with attendees, learning from others, and sharing Repowered’s mission to reduce e-waste. Several folks also brought in their electronics for recycling—helping keep harmful waste out of landfills.
