2023 saw its first increase in gender income inequality since 2003. The U.S. Census Bureau’s 2023 Income Report showed the first increase in gender income inequality in 20 years. While median income rose 4%, the female-to-male earnings ratio declined slightly 82.7%, with women’s earnings growing just 1.5% vs. men’s 3%.
