Welcome FPSO Alexandre de Gusm?o! The Fifth FPSO for Petrobras operated Mero field, FPSO Alexandre de Gusm?o has arrived in the presalt Santos Basin offshore Brazil. Petrobras charted the Alexandre de Gusm?o FPSO, built at the COSCO SHIPPING(Qidong) yard in China, from SBM Offshore for 22.5 years. Operations are set to start between the Q2 and Q3 of this year The platform is designed to produce 180,000 bbl/d of oil and compress 12 MMcm/d of gas. At peak, it should lift production from Mero by 31% to 770,000 bbl/d. It is also prepared for operations of Petrobras’ patented HISEP (High Pressure Separator) technology. This enables subsea separation of the produced oil and CO2-rich associated gas, with the latter reinjected directly into the reservoir from the seabed. Currently the FPSOs Pioneiro de Libra, Sepetiba, Marechal Duque de Caxias and Guanabara are in service at Mero, located in 2,100 m water depth and 180 km from Rio de Janeiro State. #fpso #oiljobs #oilandgasindustry #offshorejobs

#VesselUpdate: World First Carbon-Capturing FPSO, the Agogo FPSO set sail for Angola Following its naming ceremony at the COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry shipyard in Shanghai, the Yinson Production Agogo FPSO has set sail from the Chinese shipyard on March 3, 2025, after undergoing integration, mechanical completion, and onshore commissioning. The FPSO will sail to the Lu Hua Shan Anchorage, where it is expected to undergo deepwater testing for about two weeks, before making its way to Angolan waters, where it will work for?Azule Energy , a joint venture between bp and Eni. Named as the world’s first FPSO unit equipped with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology, Yinson Production Agogo FPSO was converted from an ultra-large crude oil carrier with a 320,000 DWT capacity, the unit underwent extensive modifications under the supervision of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Shanghai, which oversaw key assembly and integration operations With a production capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day, the vessel will work offshore Angola at Agogo Integrated West Hub for 15 years with the option to stay up to five years longer. #EnergyUpdate: Saipem Merges with Subsea7 Italy's Saipem and Norway’s Subsea7 have reached an agreement on the key terms for possible merger of the two companies under one unit to be named Saipem7, whose combined backlog would be over $45 billion. Saipem and Subsea7 shareholders will own 50% each of the share capital of the combined company, whose revenue is expected to be around $20.9 billion, and core earnings in excess of $2 billion. Saipem7 will become a global organization of over 45,000 people, including more than 9,000 engineers and project managers. Subsea7 shareholders will receive 6.688 Saipem shares for each Subsea7 share held. Subsea7 will distribute an extraordinary dividend for an amount equal to $470 million immediately prior to completion. The combined company will be listed on both the Milan and Oslo stock exchange. The offshore business will comprise all of Subsea7 and Saipem’s offshore engineering and construction activities. The parties currently plan to submit the final terms of the proposed combination to their respective Board of Directors for approval and to enter into the merger agreement around mid-2025. #VesselUpdate: ONE Guyana FPSO En Route to ExxonMobil’s Yellowtail Field ONE Guyana FPSO, the fourth floating production facility to be operated by a consortium led by ExxonMobil in Guyana has departed from Singapore on its route to Guyana. Once the FPSO vessel is installed, the consortium plans to boost output capacity to 940,000 barrels per day (bpd) later this year. The group produced an average of 616,000 bpd last year after upgrades at two of its three facilities. The fourth FPSO, One Guyana, was built by SBM Offshore with a 250,000-bpd output capacity.
