Athletes aren’t just the face of media anymore—they’re the architects. From LeBron’s The SpringHill Company to Angel Reese’s podcast & collaborations with Reebok, today’s athletes are building platforms, driving conversations, and controlling their narratives like never before. ?? What does this mean for brands? ? Authenticity is key—forced partnerships won’t fly. ? Culture moves fast—stay ahead or get left behind. ? Athlete-led media = built-in, engaged communities. At INGENIUS, we're helping brands and creators navigate this shift—because when influence turns into ownership, the rules change. ?? Who’s your favorite athlete making moves in media? Drop their name in the comments. ???? ?? Read the full breakdown: https://lnkd.in/gmXkku4v

Over the next 5-10 years, smaller creators with specific communities and high engagement rates will rise in popularity. Why? Brands, as well as consumers, value people who can be authentic storytellers and are trusted by their audience. This is especially important among GenZ, who hates feeling like they’re being marketed to. Brands want to partner with creators who can creatively and authentically reach GenZ, similar to how MrBeast creates in-video ads that are actually fun to watch. Although creators still have to maintain the voice of the brand they are partnering with, creators are increasingly going to be able to display their unique voice when creating content. This voice should be consistent across all of your social media platforms, and creators should diversify across multiple platforms (focus on platforms that your target audience uses). What role does AI play in this? AI is a useful tool but should not replace your voice; the art of the craft is what makes you stand out. Consider this: when Excel was first launched, many accountants were worried that Excel would take away their jobs. However, Excel was merely a tool that helped good accountants become great accountants. This is what AI can do for content creation, and for the emerging creators with niche audiences. As a VC, I not only see the market opportunity for startups whose AI learns, over time, how to write in the creators’ voice, but also startups that improve the operational efficiency for creators, such as using AI to automate manual tasks.? Thank you to Chuka Chase (Integral Studio, Inc. & SymphonyOS), LaTecia Johnson (INGENIUS & Visionary Rising), Jeremy Jaramillo (Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.), Connor Thompson (Reebok), and Sawyer Covington (Amped) for sharing these insights on the creator economy during their panel at last week’s INGENIUS x Reebok Creator Conclave! It's been a busy summer hosting quite a few panels, happy hours, dinners, and more here in Austin. A truly community-driven summer of events that's wrapping up this Friday with the INGENIUS x Reebok creator conclave where we're inviting talent agents, investors, creators, media execs, brands, and more to come connect and create at the intersection of art and technology. Will have a short break then it's right back into things in October with both weekends of ACL, F1, Tech Week, and Halloween all taking place consecutively throughout the month (pray for us). It's exciting times and I'm a big believer in rising tides lifting all ships, so if you're interested in partnering on fall programming with INGENIUS and/or Austin Venture Association please feel free to reach out! At INGENIUS we're putting together more programming to continue connecting Austin's key stakeholders interested in supporting the future of media. At the Austin Venture Association, I'm putting together more programming to bring together the VCs, Family Offices, Execs, and LPs here in town. If you'll be visiting Austin in October keep me posted and I'll be sure to extend relevant invites as well!

The New Balance x Coco Gauff partnership is just getting started, but already becoming a blueprint for how other brands can engage young talent and enhance their footprint with the next generation.
Founder + CEO, INGENIUS | Scaling Influence + Impact for Brands & Creators | Business Insider’s Top Creator Economy Company
Every brand should be investing in women's sports right now and using the Coco Gauff x New Balance partnership as a blueprint. New Balance has been smart in recognizing the power of investing in athletes who not only excel on the court but also inspire change off it. As Coco continues her meteoric rise in tennis, she represents values that connect with the next generation and is able to speak to them in a way that resonates deeply because she is one of them. By designing products like the signature Coco CG2, New Balance proves it’s not just about performance; it’s about shaping the future with purpose. At INGENIUS, we're in the business of helping brands and agencies scale programs that activate the influence of their ecosystems while building authentic partnerships with creators. This partnership is a masterclass in building a brand through strategic, long-term relationships and staying culturally relevant. While this isn't one of ours, it's the type of work our team believes is at the forefront of driving the creator and media industry forward, and one of the reasons we're so bullish on the future of media being creator-led. Here’s to brands that invest in authenticity, innovation, and the voices shaping tomorrow. ???? Read about the Coco CG2 release: https://lnkd.in/dZCBXjRq
