    Last week, I had the honor of sharing my story during the NYC Act One Ventures panel discussion. Driven by nostalgia, I can’t help but share it with you as well. As a young Jewish girl in Moscow, my dad once said, "Why buy shoes when you can buy books?" But I did want that pair of shoes, and little did he know that this challenge would actually spark my entrepreneurial spirit. I found a way to source affordable clothing from China. What started as a quest for personal style quickly turned into something bigger. My friends noticed my new outfits and began asking where they could buy them. One thing led to another, and soon I was running my own clothing business. By my early twenties, I had a chain of boutiques across Eastern Europe, which caught the attention of VCs and eventually led to a successful acquisition. But that was just the beginning. My path took me to Silicon Valley, where, after another successful acquisition of my next (already AI-focused) company, I found myself at Snap, leading product teams and gaining invaluable insights into the tech world. Through all of this, one problem consistently stood out: review cycles slowing down go-to-market strategies. Whether it was launching a product, kicking off a marketing campaign, or even hiring, everything seemed to get bogged down in endless reviews. I saw these delays affect companies of all sizes—even giants like Snap. Now, I’m focused on solving that with AI. The idea is simple: instead of manually verifying content through endless rules and checklists, AI can automatically apply the relevant regulations and guidelines. And give actionable suggestions for improvements! We're not just saving time—we're empowering companies to innovate faster and more efficiently. As we build this AI-driven company, I can’t help but reflect on my journey.     The Reality Check: How Much Time Goes into ‘Simple’ Tasks Like Job Postings? Writing a job description might seem like a fairly easy task—just decide who you want to hire and ask ChatGPT to compose a job posting. But is it really that simple? Let’s start from pure math and break down what goes into creating a job posting that attracts the right candidates: - Researching Competitor Postings and Industry Standards – 1 hour to research similar job postings. - Writing a Compelling Job Description – 1 hour to make sure the description clearly presents each aspect of the position. - Ensuring Compliance with LinkedIn Policies – 45 minutes to adjust to LinkedIn’s or other posting websites’ guidelines. - Adding Relevant SEO Keywords – 30 minutes to stuff the description with keywords. - Proofreading and Editing – 15 minutes to ensure clarity, absence of errors, and tone of voice alignment. That sums up to at least 3.5 hours, but in most companies, the process doesn’t stop there. I recently had a talk with Daria Stranadko the Head of HR at Hire5, about the complexities of creating an effective job posting, which its clients keep sharing. "One of the biggest challenges, especially for larger companies," Daria explained, "is ensuring the job description ticks all the boxes on the checklist. It’s not just about writing a job description that sounds good, you know. You have to consider inclusivity—does it attract diverse talent? Also, make sure it represents the company’s image professionally and aligns with job platform compliance standards." I asked her about the approval process within corporations, and she gave me a knowing smile. "Oh, that's a whole other layer—and, honestly, one of the reasons why companies outsource this task. In their workflows, job postings often go through multiple approval cycles—one person checks the details, another reviews for compliance, and the hiring manager gives the final sign-off." "So, this back-and-forth can easily turn a 2.5-hour task into several days when it’s handled by non-professional recruiters," she finished. At that point, I realized that anyone involved in creating job postings would benefit greatly from GetGenAI stepping in. How?     In 2012, Skechers faced a $40 million settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over unproven claims that their Shape-ups shoes could help with weight loss. I remember coming across the article discussing this case and thinking to myself how it’s possible brands are getting that far with noncompliant copies and how this issue could be solved. It was one of the first seeds in my mind towards the creation of GetGenAI. Years later we engineered a tool to ensure peace of mind for brands and to ease the workload of marketing agencies. It may seem straightforward to steer clear of misleading claims—just don't overestimate a product or "sell a magical wand." However, the reality is much more complex. Recently, our beauty brand client was testing a campaign with what seemed like an guiltless description of a moisturizer with SPF: "Perfect for keeping your skin hydrated and protected from the sun." However, GetGenAI flagged this phrase as problematic and suggested relevant corrections (see the screenshot!). That’s because the statement could mislead consumers into thinking the product alone provides sufficient sun protection. Additionally, it lacked the necessary warning statement, potentially inviting FTC scrutiny. Compliance might not be the most glamorous part of marketing, but it’s definitely essential. After all, who wants to be the next headline for all the wrong reasons?

To ensure that none of the assets violate any policies, there are a few options available: hiring a legal professional, continuous back-and-forth with clients, or AI optimization. Hiring a Legal Professional This option provides expertise and tailored advice, ensuring that all marketing content complies with relevant laws. However, this approach can be costly—the average salary for a compliance officer is around $80,000 per year, while senior legal advisors can cost upwards of $150,000 annually.     Just read an eye-opening article on ADWEEK (link in comments) on how brands are shifting away from sticking with agencies of record and are on the lookout for fresh partnerships. But the issue here is that with over 50,000 marketing agencies in the US alone, brands face a tricky task of choosing the right one. That’s where the “matchmaking” consultants step in. Acting almost like Tinder for brands and agencies, they help brands find their perfect agency match, sometimes costing up to $1.2M for their services alone. So getting new clients, all boils down to how well your agency can differentiate itself. Being on this wave, I’m thrilled to see more agencies striving to stand out – some offer innovative creative strategies as their competitive advantage, while others focus on advanced data analytics, and more and more innovate with AI. Just yesterday, I spoke with the CEO of our major client who shared that thanks to GetGenAI they’re “winning more regulatory brands” who highly value compliance. This is what we initially presented to this client (see screenshot): GetGenAI reviews content before posting, instantly spotting violations that could lead to banned content or fines. For instance, an innocent-sounding post from a beverage brand like Red Bull, saying “drink it and become the life of the party” can be flagged as a misleading claim, preventing regulatory issues such as fines or/and banned content.     Finally, after a year of head-down work, I’m excited to share about my new company! And here’s the story, complete with a pink unicorn ?? One thing I've frequently witnessed during my executive work and involvement with big tech is the waste of resources on marketing. You ensure team alignment through internal meetings to clarify roles, gather input, and synchronize efforts across departments. However, when you send it to your client for approval, they reject it. This frustration led me to start building again—my fourth company GetGenAI after successful acquisitions and investments with Google, Snap, and the Founders Fund of my previous startups. But this time, I’m not doing it solo, and it’s been one of the most fulfilling journeys so far.     During my time in consulting and corporate roles, I witnessed all sorts of waste of human potential.
