Today I went back to NYU Stern School of Business to give a fireside chat hosted by the Entrepreneurial Exchange Group. It was nice to be back and relive some moments from the Y Combinator W24 batch and encourage folks to start building sooner—if I could go back in time to undergrad, I would have started way earlier. One of the things I'm going to miss about being in SF is running into other founders serendipitously. It's one of the main advantages of living here—we were lucky to meet so many awesome friends just by living in Dogpatch, near the Y Combinator office! I ran into Bivu on a lunchtime sandwich run and we ended up putting a climbing session on the schedule. He and Esty are building Shiboleth.ai (YC W24), and it was seriously impressive to watch them ship during batch.

It's been a little over year since we moved to SF to work on Aftercare (YC W24). Definitely the most action-packed year of my life. Time for a new office space back at home—see you in NYC ??

The other day, we had the Keywords AI (YC W24) team over for some home cooking. Keywords monitors our LLM infra at Aftercare (YC W24) which helps us ship faster and improves our AI survey's reliability. The best part of Y Combinator is meeting other incredible batch mates to lean on and learn from. We first met the Keywords guys when Anand and Andy started playing tennis together during batch ?? We'll be moving to Brooklyn in February and looking forward to keeping our Wednesday dinner party tradition going with NYC founders!

One of our main priorities at Aftercare (YC W24) for 2025 is helping users achieve quicker time-to-value ?? We learned this from conducting tons of user interviews at the end of 2024: folks typically do not want to start from scratch while building out surveys. We knew we had to fix this. So far, we've built two ways in-app to get started faster: - A 'build with AI' flow where you describe the survey you want in a few sentences, and Aftercare will create the entire survey automatically - A template library for common use cases (like user feedback, demographics, NPS, employee engagement, how did you hear about us, etc.) Now, we're making public templates so that people can try out the templates without signing up—here's an example employee engagement survey: https://lnkd.in/gt8B-ZFJ We're working on a 'build with AI' that visitors can try right on our website and will keep you posted! Anand and I are visiting our hometown in NJ for the holidays where the Aftercare (YC W24) team grew up 5 minutes away from each other.?Definitely feels a bit colder than SF, but that and a bit of little snow won't stop us from meeting up to ship a few new features.
