Team GeoVisions flew South for the Winter to interview students in the Dominican Republic who want to come work with our partners in Virginia, California, Vermont, Alaska, Michigan and Montana. Job Fairs like this create a unique opportunity for student workers to get better acquainted with their US employers they begin their Work and Travel Program. A Meaningful Exchange with Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason It was an honor to meet with Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ireland’s Ambassador to the United States, during her visit. Our discussion centered on the deep economic and cultural ties between Texas and Ireland, as well as the enduring friendship between our two nations. One highlight was the remarkable role of the J-1 Visa Program, which brings 8,000 Irish youth to the U.S. every summer. These rites-of-passage trips are far more than just travel opportunities—they are a bridge connecting generations across the Atlantic, cultivating future leaders and strengthening the bond between Ireland and the United States. We are thrilled to welcome two new faces to our #SummerWorkTravel team! Corbett Cummins is our new Director of Program Management, and many of you may recognize him as he has been involved in #BridgeUSA programs for many years. We're thrilled to have him leading the Program Management team and working with our wonderful host organization partners. Isabella Florez is also joining the Summer Work Travel team as she steps into the role of Program Manager. Having spent several years working with #J1 participants on the host organization side, we are excited to add her expertise to the team. We look forward to you getting to know Corbett and Isabella as we head into the Winter program and continue planning for 2025!
