Thank you, Svemin, for hosting another successful #AutumnSummit24! A sold-out, one-day conference is a testament to the strength and relevance of our industry, but it’s never quite enough time to connect with all the clients, partners, and friends we’d like to. This year’s discussions highlighted the impact AI and advanced technologies will have on the future of mining. Sustainability and recycling, coupled with the development of new mines and green energy solutions, remain fundamental to ensuring the industry’s growth and resilience. Collaboration between Sweden and key international partners, particularly Australia, the USA, and Canada continues to thrive. Interestingly, Geosyntec Consultants has a strong presence in all these areas (and more), reflecting its commitment to global innovation and sustainable practices. However, there is significant potential to strengthen these partnerships further, unlocking new opportunities to drive innovation and advance global sustainability efforts. Lastly, to reach our goals, whether in sustainable mining, innovation, or environmental and social stewardship, requires updated policies and a modernized regulatory framework.
