The First Name in Groundwater l Well Design | Groundwater Basin Modeling | Geohydrology Groundwater Solutions
关于我们
Geoscience Support Services (GEOSCIENCE) provides vital, specialized consulting to help clients overcome their most complex groundwater resource challenges. Water utilities, government agencies and private partners rely on us for sustainable management, supply augmentation, production, and defense of their groundwater rights. Our capabilities span groundwater management consulting, groundwater flow and solute transport modeling, design and construction oversight for high-capacity municipal wells, and basin management to ensure safe, sustainable yields. Almost half the water used by communities and agriculture in the Southwest comes from the ground, and our dynamic team of geologists, modelers, and groundwater supply experts collaborate to deliver new solutions for this critical resource. Today, GEOSCIENCE is leading advances in computer modeling for sustainable groundwater management, and slant-well subsurface seawater intakes critical for protecting marine ecosystems while producing seawater needed for water desalination. GEOSCIENCE SUPPORT SERVICES – A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE Our collective mission to sustain, develop and defend our groundwater resources demands accuracy, diligence, and rigorous evidence. Yet, the seriousness of our work doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy what we do. We’re a highly collaborative team that supports one another, works cooperatively, and makes time for fun. GEOSCIENCE is a place where dedicated professionals come together to build rewarding careers, grow our skills, and develop serious expertise as we deliver on a wide range of meaningful geohydrology projects.

We learned about the water cycle in school—how surface water gets into the air through evaporation and turns back to surface water during precipitation. But how does it into the ground and why would we want it to? As winter comes to an end this week, and California's rainy season begins to wind down, we're taking a moment to appreciate precipitation, vernal ponds, groundwater recharge, and Geoscience Support Services, Inc.'s place in the water cycle. ?? ?? Check out our site for information on how clients rely on Geoscience for effective, accurate #groundwater basin modeling, aquifer recharge, and conjunctive use projects, along with the full spectrum of groundwater solutions and services: https://gssiwater.com/ ??? Effective and efficient groundwater use is a bit more complicated than just sinking a well in a likely spot. As we approach the end of #GroundwaterAwarenessWeek we wanted to mention that groundwater is vulnerable to multiple risks and requires thoughtful management to ensure a reliable supply for years and generations of people, to come. ?? Groundwater basin modeling remains the best way to make thoughtful decisions about producing usable groundwater and recharging aquifers. Effective basin modeling with an expert team with advanced modeling capabilities to mitigate risks, enable confident decision making and help deliver a sustainable water future. ??? Want to know more about #groundwater modeling's value and utility for efficient, reliable water production??Check out our Groundwater Modeling 101 article series covering modeling’s critical role in project planning, decision making, and proven results ?? https://lnkd.in/gn4jbk5w ?? Happy Groundwater Awareness Week! ?? Sometimes it seems like there's a week for everything, but this one is really important, and we're not just saying that because #groundwater is our business. More than 90% of the world's fresh water is underground, and across the Southwest groundwater accounts for about 50% of the water supply for?household use, agriculture, irrigation, manufacturing, food production, power generation, and more.??? This is why we spend every day working on new ways to capture, store, and access groundwater to ensure a safe, reliable supply. So, while we wish every week could be #GroundwaterAwarenessWeek to bring more attention to this critical resource, we're celebrating while we have the chance and continuing to deliver innovative solutions for a sustainable water future. ??? ?? Happy anniversary! ?? We value our team and appreciate their contributions and dedication to Geoscience Support Services, Inc. and groundwater innovation. This month, we're celebrating: ? Leo Liu ? Seth J. Kuiper ? Si Si Thanks to each of you. We appreciate everything you do to keep us growing, evolving and delivering effective #groundwater solutions (including getting into the muck to gather transducer data)! ?? Persistent drought across the Southwest reinforces the need for accurate #groundwater basin modeling to enable conjunctive use projects, aquifer recharge, and effective water production. Geoscience Support Services, Inc.'s long history (all the way back to 1978) started in the Southwest during another time of significant drought. ??? Today, we have teams in both #Arizona and #California we're still delivering innovative groundwater solutions for municipal, public, and commercial clients. ??

Did you know "jargon" has more than one definition? The first explains jargon is "vocabulary specific to a particular profession or trade." The second, more common, definition calls jargon "unintelligible or meaningless" words. Ouch. Jargon of all kinds is everywhere. A lot actually fits into the first definition, but we've all encountered a group that's developed a few too many insider acronyms. To people outside a specialization or industry, it's all meaningless jargon. Geoscience Support Services, Inc.'s field, #groundwater services, spans multiple scientific and technical fields, and intersects with public and private institutions, all with their own particular words and terms used to precisely communicate specific, important things and concepts. ?? What we're saying is we encounter and use a lot of jargon. But we don't want to be unintelligible, so we asked our team to contribute terms they use in their daily roles and shared the list our site so everyone can understand what we're talking about. You can find it here ?? Groundwater and Hydrogeology Terms— https://lnkd.in/dn5gwqgB And if you think we've missed one, please share in the comments.
