Water agency managers across California kick off the new water year, which started October first, focused on capturing enough water to recharge groundwater basins after a long, dry summer. We know because Geoscience Support Services, Inc. is on the front lines ensuring these water districts and agencies have the information they need to manage their basin and execute effective #recharge projects. This summer, the Orange County Water District celebrated their basin reaching capacity after a wet winter and effective capture strategies achieved a full aquifer recharge thanks in part to our Integrated Santa Ana River Model. The model facilitated #sustainable groundwater basin management with accurate simulations of surface #water and #groundwater in the Upper Santa Ana River watershed supporting both habitat #conservation and effective recharge strategies. ??
